It’s been a while since I bought/downloaded some new music, so I’m not 100% sure. My best guess is that it was something by Andrew Huang.

Why are your songs so infectious Neon Bunny?

I like learning about different kinds of music and discovering artists and bands that would be impossible to hear without the magic of the Internet. It helps me see and hear the world in a new way, and it makes the world seem smaller (in a good way).

Idk if that counts as a hobby though. I just really like learning and experiencing culture.

I think writing the types I don’t favor would be a shorter list. Usually I will go through different phases of what music I listen to most often, although right now I’m kind of in an in-between phase. Right now it’s been a lot of Andrew Huang, Daft Punk, Pentatonix, Othello (rapper), gunnarolla, SHINee, and some occasional hard and classic rock and traditional world music. Basically a bit of everything except for country.

this girl that sits with me was complaining..about another girl. because she likes the same band as her “but doesn’t dress like it” so obviously she doesn’t really listen to them

how do you DRESS like the music you listen to???

as an imagine dragons fan i am never seen not in a full dragon costume

real fans imagine the dragon costume

i’m a bare naked ladies fan and let me tell you

In high school I loved Violent Femmes and They Might be Giants. Apparently I should have been a violent, possibly giant femme.

Looking back…perhaps I was.

I grew up listening to a bit of everything.

Perhaps that’s why people get so confused when they look at me. They’re always struggling to determine what race I am.

Why? Because it’s my blog and I do what I want! Also, I’d like to get a little more personal with you guys, but still make it fun. Feel free to join in! Or not, I don’t control your personal will (or do I? …I don’t). (The challenge list is here.)

Click here and choose “Other” under “Best Style” and type in “Ed Sheeran.” Just think of how confused everyone would be, Media wise, if Ed actually won. Thanks to teddys-tattoos for suggesting it. ;)

I think Ed will be the most confused but this is great.

Keep reblogging it everyone! Get the word out! Ed needs to win!

YES VOTE FOR ED!!I had the privilege to meet and talk with him and he is hands down the real deal and very VERY down to earth! He’d love this if we got him to win!We need to show those people that we the people have the power!

A better write in campaign idea: strong bad. He had the most style ever.

^ Either that or Zion. T. I think even Strong Bad would have some serious respect for Zion. T.

My 4-month-old niece’s reaction to Andrew Huang

I’ve been watching my niece on weekdays this summer, and after watching a few various music videos with her, I noticed that she had a tendency towards hip-hop (especially CL’s “The Baddest Female”). Long story short, I deduced that she may enjoy watching “Funk Rags.”  I tried having my baby sister hold her further back from the screen, but you see how well that worked. What was even more surprising was that as soon as the song ended she started throwing a huge fit. Red face, tears, the whole nine yards. I’ve never seen her do that over watching anything! As soon as I restarted the video, she stopped crying.

Twenty Years Ago Today the World Wide Web Went Public

Twenty years ago today, something happened that changed the digital world forever: CERN published a statement that made the technology behind the World Wide Web available to use, by anybody, on a royalty free basis.

That decision, pushed forward by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, transformed the internet, making it a place where we can all freely share anything and everything—from social media updates, through streamed music, to YouTube videos of cats. It has fundamentally shaped the way we communicate.

To celebrate the momentous occasion of 20 years ago, CERN—the same guys behind all those experiments at the Large Hadron Collider—has republished its very first website at its original URL. It’s not much to look at—but it’s a fine reminder of just how much the web has changed in the past twenty years.

In fact, the republishing of that site is part of a broader project to excavate and preserve a whole host of digital gems that remain from the inception of the web. You can go read a lot more about the project over on CERN’s site.

It is super weird to me that I am older than the internet.

I am indebted to Sir Berners-Lee. Thanks to the World Wide Web becoming public in 1993, my mother was able to do online research hearing from mothers across the world on how they dealt with having a child with Asperger’s Syndrome. Due to her findings, I was able to have alternative “treatment” via Suzuki Piano lessons rather than take drugs or have to go through cognitive therapy. Due to my natural musical tendencies I took really well to the lessons and now show little to no noticeable signs of autism. Who knows how long me and my family would have struggled trying to find out what worked and what didn’t for me if my mother didn’t have people to communicate with.

The Internet has been useful for a lot of wonderful things that I cannot imagine my life without, but that was the first and perhaps most important huge impact it had on my life. Considering that I got diagnosed right around 93-94 and started taking lessons in ‘95, the timing was absolutely perfect. As far as I’m concerned I credit that to God.

I’d love to hear your stories too! How has the Internet changed your life?

Way to be super random, Facebook music suggestions. I don’t even have 2 of those artists in my ‘likes.’ #chrisbrown #theblackkeys #ukiss #유키스 #facebook #music

Why? Because his voice is perfection. Let’s hope his tag has some good stuff. Don’t be surprised if this morphs into a general Amoeba Culture spam though.

Made my first 8-Tracks playlist called “Current Nostalgia.”

I got this song stuck in the heads of most of my friends, and thought I’d spread the viral ear worm love.
Having a bad day? Just think PINK FLUFFY UNICORNS DANCING ON RAINBOWS.
